Crude Oil Accountant


McPherson, KS

Job Posting CHS has an exciting opportunity at our Oil Refinery facility in McPherson, Kansas. We are looking for a Crude Oil Accountant to prepare Projection/Estimate/Actual Crude Cost reporting as well as federal and state tax reports. You must be a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work in both a team environment and on self-directed tasks are necessary.

You will:
Prepare & analyze the Projection/Estimate/Actual crude cost reports.
Work directly with the contract administrator, crude oil trader, and scheduler to ensure accuracy in the crude oil cost accounting.
Prepare miscellaneous tax reports.
Oversee federal backup withholding reporting.
Assist the supervisor of refinery accounting with the balance sheet comparison report.
Ensure accuracy and completion of the stock movement report and month end analysis reporting.
Support Crude Oil Accounting Supervisor as requested or needed.
Support various administrative functions when necessary.
Perform other duties as requested or needed.
Basic Qualifications: (required)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university
3-5 years of accounting experience
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications: (desired)
Oil & Gas industry experience
JDEdwards software, crude oil accounting software, and/or Crystal reports experience
